Each year, our community comes together at the Great Lakes GeoSymposium, the premier geospatial conference serving the Great Lakes region. Building upon more than thirteen years of success as the Northeast Ohio GIS Symposium, the GeoSymposium has expanded its reach while remaining committed to providing an affordable, high quality conference created by geospatial professionals, for geospatial professionals.

Each symposium features nationally recognized keynote speakers, technical presentations, hands on workshops, panel discussions, vendor exhibits, and real world case studies spanning local government, environmental stewardship, public safety, transportation, utilities, broadband, spatial data science, artificial intelligence, and countless other geospatial applications. The conference provides an environment where attendees can discover emerging technologies, exchange practical solutions, and develop the professional relationships that strengthen the geospatial community throughout Ohio, Pennsylvania, Michigan, and beyond.

More than just an annual conference, the Great Lakes GeoSymposium represents a growing community dedicated to advancing geospatial education, collaboration, and innovation. Whether you are an experienced GIS professional, a student beginning your career, or an organization looking to harness the power of location intelligence, there's a place for you here.
